All of the below images are photographs that I have taken. They are not composited or painted or generated.

All color variation is a result of a unique editing technique that forces colors to change by manipulating tone curves. The end result is relatively normal tone gradients in dark regions and birefringent color effects in regions of the photograph that are very bright, making small or imperceptible gradients in brightness visible. None of the striping is drawn or dictated, but instead is emergent from the image data.
